While attending the college, he had the opportunity to perform with the seven time Grammy nominated One O'clock Lab Band for two years; he recorded three albums with the band and performed at events including the Carmen Caruso competition and the Monterey Jazz Festival. Along with being a finalist for multiple jazz solo competitions (ATW 2025, ITF 2026), Alex was named one of the winners of the Yamaha Young Performing Artists competition this year.
